Installation must conform to all local codes and to the National Fuel Gas Code ANSI Z223.1 (NFPA 54)

1. It is the responsibility of the plumber or other person installing any Primo Gas Lantern to verify the appropriate regulations and standards and to install the lantern(s) accordingly.
2. All lanterns shall be installed with a gas regulator (ventless if installed in the attic) that prevents gas pressure of more than 7” water columns from reaching the lantern. If the gas regulator is adjustable, the regulator shall be set so as to prevent the pressure from exceeding 7” water columns of pressure.
3. Always ensure that the area in the vicinity of the fixture remains clear of combustible materials, including gasoline, paints, varnishes, and solvents.
4. Do not store or use gasoline or other flammable vapors and liquids in the vicinity of the Primo Gas Lantern. Gas vapors may ignite when exposed to the lantern’s flame.
5. Lantern should not be mounted closer than 12” from any combustible ceiling, or 3” from any combustible wall. Primo lanterns’ mounting brackets space the lantern 3” from the wall.
6. Flush mount lanterns are for use on brick, concrete, or another non-combustible surface only.
7. A 1” inch thick non-combustible material must be placed between the back side of the lantern and the mounting surface for any flush mount lanterns.
